Trip to the Zoo

A couple of weeks ago, we headed to the St. Louis Zoo. (I actually tried to make this post last week, but blogger was not cooperating. Ugh!) The weather was perfect and we had a great time! It's been about a year since we were there last, so it was neat to see the difference in Ella and her interest in the animals. I was actually a little surprised....she seemed a little more reserved this year and more content to just watch instead of wanting to touch the animals. But she had a great time and it was a great way to spend a beautiful Saturday :)

Just getting to the Zoo, Daddy and his girl.

Mommy and Ella

The princess and her big CHEESE smile!

At the petting zoo, the kids can pet the goats, brush them, etc. Ella mostly just observed :)

They had a lot of little playgound areas in the Children's Zoo. I think it was Ella's favorite part, even over the animals! Coming down the slide.....which we had to do about 50 times!

She really liked this little rope bridge and did really well crossing it all by herself!

Where is Ella? Oh! There she is!

My little ham.

Climbing through one of the tunnels.

Hmmm....what is that in there? (I think they were little rats....Eeeewww!)

The girls enjoying the day!

One of Ella's favorite parts of the Zoo is the penguins. Here we are inside the penguin sanctuary where it is kept VERY cold. These are our "Brrrrr!" faces :) It gave me an excuse to snuggle with my girl ;)

Of course we had to ride the Carousel...another one of Ella's favorites.

After a great day, ready to leave the Zoo. If you can't tell from the picture...we had one tired girl on our hands!

Hope you all have had a chance to enjoy the Zoo this year, it was a great time!
As for baby news, I am 24 weeks today! Feeling pretty good as long as I take the Zofran once a day in the morning. I tried to stop taking it a couple of weeks ago, and was throwing up by mid-morning. So I have given in to the fact that I might feel this way for the whole pregnancy. Oh well. The medicine makes it bearable and allows me to keep my food down to support this sweet growing boy in my belly :) Next month at my appointment I will have my glucose tolerance test, then I start going every 2 weeks after that. I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is flying by, and I know with all of the holidays coming up, the rest will go by just as fast! Hope you all have a great weekend!

How fun! I can't see that baby belly in those pics though. You have to do at least a couple of those this pregnancy :) I know what you mean, the second time it flys by!!

What a fun trip! We did not make it to the zoo this year, and I'm kind of sad- Laney LOVES animals. Not envying you on the glucose test... my bottle is sitting in my fridge, waiting for whenever I think I can keep it down!
