What We've Been Up To....

It has been a very busy few weeks for us, and I felt like I hadn't posted many Ella pictures lately. So I figured I'd devote an entire post of some pictures from the last few weeks. Mostly of Ella, of course. We have been very busy because we are trying to sell our house.....it has been on the market since May. We have had several people interested, but no one has taken the plunge yet. We, on the other hand, have found a house that we LOVE and now we just have to sell ours! We are under contract with the new one, which is contingent on the sell of our home. I can't wait to post some pictures of the new house, but I don't want to jinx anything so I'll probably wait until it's "officially" ours to do that. So here's hoping that happens soon! But anyway, that is why we have been busy. But here are some pics of our life lately..

A few weeks ago, I had the chance to go to Columbia with Ella to see Jess! We were able to hang out all day, and even had the chance to have a play date with the Liz's and their little girls! It was a lot of fun and always neat to see the girls interact with one another. I don't have a lot of pictures from the day, but Jess is going to send me some of hers. So as soon as I get those, I'll post more play date pictures. Here are the ones I managed to get that day.

Jess, Ella and I after lunch at Macaroni Grill.
Modeling some WAY too big sunglasses! Funny thing is, they still look cute on Jess!
What do you think?
These don't look too big, do they?
Ella had NO nap that day, so the second we were in the car and on the road, she was OUT!

Last weekend, my parents, Summer and Hannon and Tom and I went out to a nice dinner to celebrate Sum's birthday. We had a great time and ate some great food! I got gnocchi...which if you haven't ever tried, you must. YUM! My Dad and Summer and Hannon got deep fried lobster tail. Heaven. Absolute Heaven!

The six of us.....without kids!

The next night, we continued Sum's birthday celebration and went out to the river to have a BBQ.
Here's Ella sitting at the big kid table with her cousins! Clockwise from bottom: Ethan, Hunter, Miah, Emma and Ella. She LOVES her cousins :)

Mmmm...this mac and cheese is good!

The girls playing the piano. I love how little Ella looks sitting between them :)

The weather has been so gorgeous lately, so we've been spending as much time as possible outside before it turns cold! Here are some pictures of Ella enjoying her time outdoors.

Love this picture.
Watching Daddy throw the ball up in the air.
Daddy teaching Ella some football basics.
Oooh! My Daddy sure is funny!
Happy and Smiling. This is honestly Ella most of the time. :)

Playing football with Daddy.
Boy, Daddy can throw the ball high!

Ella's new favorite---sidewalk chalk!

Outside in her PJ's on a lazy weekend morning. Which color should I choose?
One of Ella's many masterpieces....with some help from Mommy in the background :)
Our cat rolled around on the sidewalk and became multi-colored!

Getting ready for a bikeride. This girl LOVES them! And have you ever seen anyone cuter in a bike helmet?

I love this picture because she looks so angelic and innocent, but what you don't see is that 10 seconds before I snapped this picture, she was ripping the petals off my flowers ;)

**Ella playing inside**

She loves playing with her blocks on the window sill. Especially when the windows are open and she can see and hear everything that's going on outside.

Ella's favorite food this Summer? Grilled corn on the cob!
Relaxing with Spongebob.

This next picture is of my new hobby.....cake decorating! I've always loved baking and have been interested in decorating, and now I'm finally taking a cake decorating class! It is once a week in the evenings for 8 weeks. I am really enjoying it!

This night at class we were practicing making shapes and filling them with stars. I'm not a pro yet, but it's not too shabby!

Ella also had her 18 month check a couple of weeks ago. She is doing beautifully. She is now in the 25% for weight (she's always been our little peanut), 40% for height and 90% for head circumference. Her Daddy and I always knew she was brilliant! ;)

She is growing so fast, and we are having so much fun.

Hope you all enjoyed the pictures. Have a great week!!

Happy Birthday, Sister!

This weekend, we celebrated my sister's 33rd birthday. We had a great time. Dinner on Friday night, a BBQ at the river on Saturday night. My sister and I have always been very close, but I find our relationship now more fulfilling than I can ever remember. I see how she loves my daughter the way she loves her own children, and it makes me love HER even more. Here's to you, Sum. My sister. Ella's Aunt Summy. We love you so very much!

Are You Ready For Some Football?

We are! You will notice the color scheme change on the blog. The first Monday night game of the season is tonight.....and better yet, it's the Packers! We are so excited for this season. A lot of people have asked us if we are still Packers fans after the whole Brett Favre drama this Summer. But as we tell them, once a Pack fan, always a Pack fan. But are we still Brett Favre fans? ABSOLUTELY! Looks like we'll be watching lots of GB Packers and NY Jets this year! Hope everyone catches the game tonight, we have high hopes for Aaron Rodgers and the Pack. GO PACK GO!

The one and only!! Did anyone see Brett Favre's season debut with the Jets yesterday? Same Favre....just a new uniform! He did awesome, and just looked happy to be playing the game.

Ella is ready for football, too. Daddy has been preparing her with his own version of training camp......

Got it!

Go long, Daddy!

Ella catches for the touchdown!!!!!!

We are looking forward to a GREAT football season. There's nothing better than family, friends, good food and football! Hope you all are enjoying it as well!!

18 Months

My beautiful baby girl is 18 months old today. She let me snap a few pictures of her this morning, and even worked it for the camera a little :)

18 months just sounds so old, I can't believe how fast time goes by. My big girl :)

Wii Play, Do You?

So, we finally gave in a bought a Wii. Actually, Tom has been wanting one for a long time, while I had been reluctant. But I decided to surprise him a couple of weeks ago, so after we put Ella to bed that night, I had him go in the other room for something, and when he walked back in the living room, I had it all set out on the coffee table. His face was priceless. A VERY good surprise :) Here are some pictures of us enjoying it!

My Mii. Sorry for the poor quality, the TV doesn't picture well.

Tom's Mii.

Ella's Mii :) (Tom insisted on making her one).

Tom playing baseball.....he looks very serious, doesn't he?

A swing and a miss!

Playing tennis.....it's my favorite!

Playing baseball....pitching.

Ooops!!

I am really glad we got it. It is a lot of fun. Wii sure are enjoying it ;)
